Well fiesta friday eighteen seems to be running along quite nicely ..
Some great participants and a lovely mix of peoples.. A fantastic although a little scary co – host..
Yet it’s time for supper here ..
Let’s try using up those English breakfast sausages..
Gotta be toad in the hole. That superb mix if sausage goodness meets crispy and softy battery Yorkshire -esque fluffiness!
A pretty quick one this..
Whoop up the batter ..egg flour water the usual numbers..
Bake off the home made this morning sausages in goose fat.. Why? Trust me it works ..
Add batter .. Pop back in the oven and take another looksie at how the fiesta number eighteen is getting along ..
Eighteen in the UK means you can take a drink .. Not twenty one.. So let’s raise a glass or two huh? Here’s to fiesta Fridays! If you are on the ‘wrong’ side of the pond . Or any other pond then I apologise already .. Sorry officer.. Ahem..
Batter risen on the toad .. It’s all gravy.. Gravy? Yup fried off some shallots .. Added wild rosemary and some Italian herbs..let it steep in butter and mrs Middletons pimped up roscoff garlic oil..
Added the leftover gravy from yesterday .. Plus the last of some frozen peas.. Chef ping provided the heat to yesterday’s mash and wah-lah.. A great soaker upper dish was served..
Mrs Fitz on the other hand didn’t want this ..so a couple of Aberdeen Angus burger numbers on delightful sandwich thins was her choice.. With x fresh baby plum and shallot salad..
All in all a great super ..
