Irish soda bread and Rosemary scented sausages for breakfast

whats better than freshly baked bread for breakfast? Umm well adding sausages I suppose!

After waking this morning I suddenly had a notion that we needed fresh soda bread.. It’s a miserable day today and we really need to take Mr Wentworth and Cora Murley out for a mad gallop about.. Therefore we need a good brekkie..

The bread is so easy .. I have said it before and I will say it again..

170 brown flour

170 white flour

Teaspoon of baking powder

Pinch of salt and sugar (it is breakfast good after all!)

A carton of buttermilk.. About 290 ml

All in a bowl..

Mix mix mix..

Into two .. No new for waiting to prove or rise and knock back whatever the heck all that mumbo jumbo business means.

Slash them and dust them in flour..

Thirty minutes later you have amazing fresh soda bread that just needs to cool..

And that my friends is enough time to fry off a bunch of sausages with some fresh rosemary..

And then eat.. Eat like its a rainy grey Saturday and you have to go out trompsing across the fields with two hounds baying..

(Perhaps leaving some of the sausages for a bit later though huh?)..
