having picked up this fantastic rack of lamb from me pal Ben @redbornefarm
I decided to chop it up into chops.. Reasoning being that Mrs Fitz had made an excellent chermula (morrocany type sauce thingy).. And these chops were crying out to be marinated in it!
Behold the first supper from the chops.. (The ‘first’ way’)💃🏻
So marinated they were and the fried off in the iron pan.. Then hit up with some Japanese dressing..
And jolly scrummy doodle dandy they were indeedo..
Just needed spuds. Lovely new season dirty spuds.. Washed and boiled , seasoned and olive oiled.. and added to watercress .. John Hurds organic watercress which is in my view as well as many others the finest watercress there is! You can find it at http://www.organicwatercress.co.uk
Cracking meat and potatoes that..
And for the next way..
Inspired by Rick Stiens recent show I guess..
That classic of popping marinated lamb..
Onto chopped potatoes .. A little more fluffy in this variety .. With chopped onion and unpeeled garlic cloves..
So it’s looks scrummy like this..
A little more Greek basil from the garden.. That stuff is excellent !
A bit of Italian veg stock. More Greek organic olive oil over the lot and into s moderate oven for about 35 minutes..
Served up with petit pois and the last of the church carrots..
Stunning flavours going on in this..
There you go! Lamb chops two ways..
Happy Friday 👏🙏
