Mrs Fitz harrissa lamb shanks

The slo-cook Revolution continues!

Mrs Fitz produces another winner .. Very happy indeedo..

This winning dish is lamb shanks in harrissa .. Rose harrissa ., and a bunch of other stuff too!

First the red ticket lamb shoulder shanks.. Always be mindful that when buying shanks that you may be buying the ‘somewhat smaller’ shanks..

So as ever with Mrs Fitz this is pretty precise cooking..(until I get a shot at it!)..

Shanks browned off in the seasoned flour..

With the onions, purple Patagonian garlic and potatoes into the mix.. With a can of Italian toms..

Cooked low for nine hours!

Cooled over night..

Then into a pan with French lentils added and some more water..

French trimmed green beans so we eat our veggies also!

And some Greek basil from the garden, awesome that stuff.. Seriously worth getting! (Also keeps the flies away.. If you need that kinda thing!).. The scent of that Greek basil is unlike anything else on this planet!

Some toasts as the bread need eating..

And it’s super supper time!

The prettiest dish? Nope..

The tastiest ?

Heck yeah!!!
