Red ticket fillet

Wasn’t planning on having steak again for supper.. Yet with this red ticket special on a fantastic piece of Hereford beef fillet it just couldn’t be missed! Reduced from £43 per kilo to £12!!! Now that’s a saving!!

So you can understand why a couple of these each for me & Mrs Fitz were destined on our plates right?

Along with some lovely ‘dirty’ new potatoes.. And a Madeira and mushroom cream sauce.. Straight from the freezer into the potato pot, great way of defrosting!

The Madeira and mushroom sauce adds to the pan with the fillets just to warm and bubble through ..

Served up with streamed broccoli sans butter.. The boiled new potatoes with a little butter and fines herbs.. And Yorkshire puddings to hold the sauce ..

Stunning supper.. Stunning!
