Time for curry.. A chicken curry..
First taking a whole chicken.. Chopping it up so we have a mix of bone and no bone pieces..the extra leftovers for the hounds.. Those gnarly bits they love !
And then onto the gravy..
Frying onions in ghee.. it’s the only way.. 😉
When super softened then adding this great meat masala.. A can of Italian tomatoes ( inc two swill outs of the can).. and the remains of a red pepper..(fridge foraging!)..
The chicken pieces poked into the mix.. Boiled away then adding the dried methi.. Great stuff that!
That needs another piece of cooking ..
Time to make the rice.. Simple.. It’s in the rice cooker, adding cardamom pods, cinnamon and star anise..
I love the rice cooker.. It makes the hounds supper every night too.. So so easy!
Then the breads.. Water, salt and atta flour..
They are cooked on the iron plate.. And buttered of course!
The pakoras were potato only.. The batter made with gram flour and some sabzi pollo herbs.. A little water makes a thickish batter..
Fried off in uncle bens wok.. Crunchy loveliness.. With a little hot sauce they are delicious!
And all together?
Stunning.. Stunning indeed
