sPATchcocked chuck and pink potatoes

do you get it? I hope so.. (Patrick my godson is staying with us a while).. 

Taking the chicken snipping out the backbone.. A snip of the bone that I used to love to dry out and then make a wish with.. (So now I just make a wish when snipping it!.. It means I win every time too!).. 

And soaking it in white vinegar for half an hour.. I have recently really taken to the washing of meat in white vinegar.. Particularly chicken with all the potential poultry problems at the moment .. 

 

Slashed up and sprinkled with hamburger spices from Istanbul.. 

Cooked straight on the bars of the oven with the glorious pink potatoes underneath.. They just have some olive oil and thyme on them

 All ready in forty five minutes.. Served with corn on the cob with a little butter on it.
