Pie and ‘posh’ peas

last nights supper.. We have been hitting the steak hard recently.. so time to turn it down a notch.. a delicious steak pie! This pastry covered delight is store bought (on a reduced ticket) yet very very well done indeed! Simply defrosted from the top freezer and warmed through..

Supper was all about the ease..

So served alongside was carrot, swede and potato crush .. Also shop bought on a reduced ticket.. Again just warmed through..

Those two things are good enough on their own yet hey.. This is the Mr Fitz show right?

Let’s give peas a chance..

Petit pois, diced shallot, a knob of butter.. Water, pepper, bay leaf and veal jus… (Simple huh?)

Simmered up till pretty much all the liquid has evaporated and you are left with seriously pimped up peas..

Go on try it.. Give peas a chance..
