Ok , i know it’s shrove Tuesday , pancake day.. And just up the road from me is where the pancake race began!!
Yet this post is a little different… I have an ‘auntie’ that I hardly ever see.. To be fair this is the first time I have seen her for probably over 15 years !!
And lovely to see her it was.. She is not only a master tailor she is also a wonderful cook…
Of course in usual tradition when you see these kinda family people you have to eat!!
So Nirmla made me the most delightful aloo parathas.. Crisp yet soft.. Delicious filling of mildly spiced and herbed potato and onion mix..
Stuffed and rolled out , cooked on the iron plate ..
Rubbed with a piece of butter..
I ate three!!! So that why I casually rename today Paratha day.. Just for today.. Honest..
And blinkin delicious they were too..might go see her again tomorrow.. As ‘Auntie’ Nirmla is staying at Mamas all week.. Hmmm yumm getting hungry again..
And I have a couple pairs of pants that need an alteration ..
