This is the Washington BBQ national pork championships i mentioned.. Brilliant! I got a pit pass.. how? got there early.. like far too early .. they were still setting it up! managed to hang around looking like i was supposed to be in the gig.. helps when your background is events and hospitality..  the organizers mistook me for an exhibitor! so there i was.. in DC at the freakin national bbq pork championships.. man they take this stuff real seriously.. the guy in the pic won the title.. I made some good friends.. and ate a heap of ‘Q” .. the highlite? possibly meating the oscar mayer weiner mo-beel.. its amazing.. a hotdog car!!
