After a lovely lunch cooked by Chef Jonny Hartnett of the Blue Haven Group.. we took the walk to the following stops..
Ice cream first at Sundays it’s Sunday after all!
Bubblegum flavor for my niece..with sprinkles of 100’s an K’s.. caramel for me.. quite nice and crispy cones..
Up to Janey Mac’s Micro bakery great cakes.. went for a coffee cake and a profiteroles cake.. no lemon drizzle cake.. must be good.. what’s real nice is the style of this place.. the kind of place I would like to have.. a subtle ‘rustic’ charm.. yet bang up 2 date.. good call..
After cake and a green tea for Mr Fitz and a coffee for Mrs Fitz.. a walk was required!!
Past the Black Pig justa looksie..
Then a short drive to the Bulman.. a wonderful pub!! It’s the King cod day today.. the locals and others alike set off to catch fish.. and race it back to the pub.. highest catch wins!!
They are starting to return.. some with the fish.. some with none.. waiting to see what happens!
And a great pint of James J Murphy..
Oh! Oh! Oh! And the funniest straight-outta-a-movie thing.. we were wistfully looking out over the sea.. when this couple came outta the pub..
Hopped over the dock wall.. the man screaming don’t spill me pint.. with a ciggie in his mouth.. his wife with a huge handbag, him clutching at the wall and feet on the side of the boat..
They got on it with a couple of pals.. and set chug chug sail beack towards Kinsale harbour..
Brilliant.. just feckin brilliant!! Me and Mrs Fitz giggled our hearts out!
Kinsale.. we will miss ya x
