Bacon brioche butty – the birgerbird special

I have ‘created’ this wonderful snack in honour of my pal across the pond Sue.. Check out her blog here..

And yup she came second in an immense pie contest .. Immense!! And I am personally proud and honoured ..

So here you go sue .. this ones for you!

First take superb bacon from the superb butchers ee lee & sons in picturesque earls barton.. It’s well worth the journey !

Cook far too much for one man to really be eating in one go.. Ahem..

Once cooked soak it in maple syrup..

Dip the cut brioche bun sides into the pool of bacon meats syrup (see what I did there?)..

Pile the bacon into the bun.. As much as you can..

Squish and devour…

A bacon delight!

  1. OMG – I cannot believe that you cooked all that for yourself – surely Mrs Fitz got to have some? Or the hounds? Sue did you proud, didn’t she? Love that this one is for her!
