Toasted pumpkin and sunflower seeds with organic Japanese tamari and Turkish urfa pepper

Long title? Quick cooking..

its not all about the meats you know.. Not always.. Hehehe.. Ho hum..

This is a great snack that stops me reaching for sugar fixes .. Sometimes..

It’s super scrumptious and very easy..

Simply dry fry a mix of sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds.. (Uncle Bens trusty wok is helping right there.. A proper viceroy..)..

Be careful as you need the heat quite fierce and they may catch as they warm up.. A few crackles and pops and add the urfa pepper, and a little red pepper flake..

This is the money shot.. !🎬

Splash the tamari in.. A real good splash.. And jiggle the pan..

Turn the heat off .  (I don’t actually suggest putting the whole bottle in !!)..

And keep jiggling..

Now these are fabulous warm.. The taste is super savoury.. Kinda smokey too.. Delicious anyhoos..

Yet cold? Yip.. Store them tight in a ziploc or even just in a twist of paper..

A superb snackerooni..

  4. Haha, oh dear I would run out of soya sauce if I put the whole bottle in every time…I guess I’ll have to restrain myself 🙂 This sounds like such a delicious snack, all toasty and a bit salty and spicy.
