Got slightly pink like a veal blush chop.. Must remember to add more cream! (Or actually any! ).. Ahem..

Ok..

Here’s the deal.. You know that in very nice hotels you get very nice things at breakfast right?

Well ..

I have to admit that sometimes something’s are so nice I just want to have them again later in the day.. I don’t actually take them off of the premises.. Just into a zip baggy into the mini bar..,

The meats were just so good on offer at breakfast that they had to become part of our in-room dining experience.. The steamed ham wonderful.. The chorizo and salami delightful.. The iberico ‘hard ‘ ham stunning..Yet the true star of this smugglers delight was the oh soft and buttery meaty goodness iberico roast pork.. Just sans crackling.. I don’t blame the chef .. I would have kept it off me too.. And I suppose they don’t expect people to want it for breakfast.. ?

Ok.. So smuggled meats procured and stashed..

A short drive to the supermarket yields fresh breads , Arabic and Spanish .. Humous .. More mojo picante sauce, olives .. Great marinated carrots .. Fabulous wines , and some excellent manchego for Mrs Fitz..

Plus these amazing baked sweet potatoes in the bakers.. How wild is that!! They are cold yet brilliant!

A pit stop for a beer, olives and lovely tapas

Back to the suite. ..

Lay out the contraband.. Put the wine on ice.. Great wine this! (Bucket and ice from the lounge bar plus another from room service = no need to go back out.. )..

Waaah-laaaah.. Hey presto..

Now just to pick the pillows for tonight’s sleeping..
