It had to happen again…
That pulled beef is just screaming eat me!
Do we did.. It was also a good time for Serena to see just how seriously easy those delicious flat breads are..
Remember the recipe?
Two cups of plain flour
Two thirds of a cup of water
A quarter cup of olive oil. ( am still thinking beef drippings would be great here !)
A tea spoon of baking powder
Half a tea spoon of Himalayan salt
Whizzed together in the JO processor till a dough is formed.. Left to rest so we can all enjoy the sunshine ..
Rolled and cooked on the iron pan.. That’s Serena there rolling the dough..jolly good work! (and elMrs Fitz stretching the dough )..
The meat? Well naturally that pulled brisket gained another outing spiced with taco seasoning it was lovely ..
Also roasted off a bunch of franklin farm chickens .. father Fitz put md in contact with them about 13 years ago.. And they have to be the best chickens in the United Kingdom for sure .. I catch them at farmers markets .. The chickens are slightly rustic! You will see that in the next post !
A piece of that chicken got a taco seasoning .. I think Mrs Fitz is a bit beefed out !
All wrapped up with a salad .. Sour cream with garden chives.. And a drop of the salsa that needed eating..
Oh ! Forgot the staters!
Aubergine tempura.. Seasoned with herbs spices and lemon juice..
Into tempura batter made with fizzy water of course!
Served with chilli sauce.. Delicious!
That’s Serena there agreeing!
Brilliant!
