So, hot dogs in sub rolls. Good German dogs these ones.. Simply simmered in water.. Split rolls.. With salsa, jalepenos , cholla hot sauce and ketchup and mustard..
Perfect!
Hmmmm. Needs to make Mrs Fiitz something nice and sweet for an Easter treat.. Been thinking about making candy for a while now. (sherbert lemons will be conquered ! Just need to do some more visualisation … Always the best thing to do prior to trying something new. Visualise it.. Then visualise yourself doing it.. Then actually find out how it should be done.. Repeat first steps again.. This time with hopefully the correct information!)

Cinder toffee, honeycomb, hokey pokey.. What ever you call it!
Easy recipe.. Although this is the first time I have made it!

100 grams of golden cane sugar
Four table spoons of golden syrup
One and a half teaspoons of bicarb.. (It’s not just for crack you know! )
First attempt to get the syrup out of the tin and into the saucepan.. With the weighed out sugar.. I say attempt.. Wait till you try it!
Bring into all into a bubbly mess ..
Remove from the heat. Add the bicarb and whisk in quickly.. If looks like a neat science experiment yet seriously get this NOWHERE near you. It’s napalm..
Pour into a lined bowl.. Could be a tin and will be next time .. I am addicted to this new nonstick backfill at the moment It’s amazing!
Leave to set. Of if like me.. Put it in the fridge . Take it out.. Put it outside.. Bring it back in.. Put it back in fridge., man I hate my ADS sometimes!!
Anyhoo. Peel if away from the super dooper baco foil.. It is cool!
Now, you need to leave it longer than I did.. It goes proper crispy ..
Smack it with the back of a knife ..
It’s now in lovely crunchy chewy shards.. And frickin delicious!
I then melted some good white chocolate and some good milk. I decided to leave out the dark as am gonna try make marshmallows soon, and that can be the drizzle..
How to melt chocolate? Get really anal and scientific about it.. Of just pop it in stone pits into a half power Mickey wave.. 1minute 30 ish.. Then stir the heck out of it..
Drizzle it all over the cinder toffee.
Pop into the fridge. .. Knowing to leave it his time .
After not enough time spent in the fridge .. Call Mrs Fitz to come into the kitchen and have the ‘look what I made you for Easter sweet treats, aren’t I clever .. ?’ Face on..
Be very pleased when Mrs Fitz looks at you and smiles.. And agrees that you are indeed a clever chap..

Those toffees are beauties, Mr. Fitz, but I must confess, my eyes are locked on those hot dogs, which I only ever have at the ball park. These are making me crave some now!
